Sambatek, a leading professional services firm specializing in civil engineering, surveying, planning, and environmental services, is excited to announce that we will be presenting groundbreaking research at the upcoming Minnesota American Water Works Association (MN AWWA) Annual Conference. The presentation, titled “Catalytically Oxidizing Manganese Improves Results,” will take place on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 3:30 PM.

The article demonstrates Sambatek’s dedication to advancing environmental engineering practices and underscores the firm’s commitment to driving positive change. The full article can be accessed here.

Spotlight on Catalytic Oxidation

The presentation will highlight our research conducted at the City of Cloquet’s newly constructed water treatment plant, where we explored the efficiency of catalytic oxidation of manganese by chlorine compared to traditional methods. This innovative approach has proven to be more effective, providing a significant improvement in the treatment process.

Naeem Qureshi, PE, Client Service Manager at Sambatek, and Emily Strand, EIT, Project Engineer, will be leading the presentation. They will be joined by Caleb Peterson, City Engineer and Director of Public Works for the City of Cloquet, who played a crucial role in the project.

Join Us at the Conference

In addition to the presentation, our team, including Mike Nielson, PE, will be available at our booth throughout the conference. We invite all attendees to stop by on Wednesday to discuss our latest findings, explore our services, and learn more about how Sambatek continues to drive innovation in water treatment and environmental services.

Recognition in Opflow

We are also proud to share that our research on this topic was recently published in the March 2024 issue of Opflow, a respected publication by the American Water Works Association. This recognition underscores the importance and impact of our work in advancing water treatment technologies.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with our experts and learn about the latest advancements in water treatment. We look forward to seeing you at the MN AWWA Annual Conference!
