Sambatek engineers worked closely with the design-build team to reconstruct the University of St. Thomas’ aging recreation center. Project challenges included rerouting existing tunnels and utilities to make way for the new three-story, 90,000-square-foot athletic complex.
Our team continued to work on the campus, preparing site design plans for a new student center, plaza, and central “quad” area. The student center is pursuing LEED Gold certification and includes two underground stormwater storage and infiltration systems that exceed local and LEED stormwater requirements.
