We proudly recognize Kwame Djada-Avonyo for his achievement in completing the MnDOT ADA Construction Certification Course, with a specialization in curb, ramp, and sidewalk plans. Kwame’s expertise in ADA concrete projects is a huge asset to the Sambatek team.
As we celebrate Kwame’s accomplishment, we also commemorate a significant milestone in civil rights history. On July 26, 2020, we marked the 30th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). This groundbreaking legislation has not only significantly enhanced inclusion and opportunities for millions of individuals with disabilities across the United States, but it has also paved the way for individuals like Kwame to excel in their fields. The ADA’s employment provisions are pivotal. They prohibit discrimination in job application procedures, hiring, advancement, job training, and other aspects of employment. This has paved the way for greater integration and participation in all facets of life for people with disabilities.
In honoring Kwame’s achievement, we recognize his enhanced awareness and technical expertise gained through the ADA Construction Certification Course. This training equips him with the necessary skills to contribute effectively to MnDOT ADA Standard Plan concrete projects.
Congratulations, Kwame, on this well-deserved accomplishment! Your dedication to excellence in accessibility initiatives exemplifies our commitment to fostering inclusivity and equality in our communities.
