MINNEAPOLIS, MN – MFRA, Inc., announced that it has officially changed its name to Sambatek, Inc. The change reflects the firm’s expansion into new markets and territories, and will coincide with the planned move of its corporate headquarters to Minnetonka. The office will relocate to 12800 Whitewater Drive, Suite 300, Minnetonka, MN 55343. Both changes are effective June 23, 2014.
Sambatek’s president and CEO Sirish Samba, acquired MFRA along with a core group of employees in 2009. Since then, the firm has bolstered its service offerings, added an office in North Dakota, and nearly doubled in size. “When we took the reins five years ago, we essentially began writing a new story,” said Samba. “Despite market challenges of the great recession, with our entrepreneurial client-focused approach and diverse expertise, we’ve evolved into a much stronger firm that is built to last.”
Samba said the name change denotes a new chapter in the 100-person firm’s history, which dates back to 1966. “We’ll always honor the legacy of McCombs, Frank and Roos, whose initials made up ‘MFRA,’ he said, adding, “Sambatek resonates with our aspirations for the future.
